You, Me and Nonno in Capri

So we caught the ferry to Capri, which cost around 30 euro return.

The ride there is beautiful in itself and I found myself jealous of the school kids on their daily commute reflecting on the Golden Grove bus I used to take to school and the contrasting views we had.

Anyway we jumped off the boat and waltzed along the jetty where we were greeted by a cute little man wearing the same hat as me but accessorising it with an impressive pipe. He told us he would take us around the island, in his boat for 100 euros. His face was gentle but he had some sass about him so we agreed, grabbed a bottle of wine, some snacks and jumped in. BEST DECISION EVER.

‘Signora, put your bikini on’ ‘errr calm down old fella’ I thought but again I agreed and before I knew it he was basically pushing me out the boat and under a blue grotto to meet him on the other side. And it was stunning, the water is like a blue Powerade. Pat and I gasped in it's beauty and the more we swam the less we worried about him taking off with all our belongings.

As we swam through the grottos we noticed huge boats of tourists in luxury boats but unable to jumped in, and there we were sharing wine with an old Nonno in a tinny and we couldn’t have planned it better.

Go to Capri, find a local and enjoy.
